About Your Speaker
Karen Lea Hyche, OTD, OTR/L, is an occupational therapist with over 20 years specializing in sensory processing disorders, autism, and learning disabilities. She is the owner of Hyche Center for Sensory & Motor Learning, in Jasper, Alabama, an occupational therapy clinic serving children (birth-16 years) with a variety of diagnoses including, but not limited to, developmental delays, learning disabilities, sensory processing disorder, visual-perceptual deficits, poor handwriting, feeding difficulties, and autism. Dr. Hyche served as the occupational therapist in two Jasper County public schools for four years working with children from preschool through high school and continues to serve as a consultant, as needed. About Your Speaker
Robbie Levy, MA, OTR/L, founded Dynamic Kids in 1998 and serves as the director/owner. Her practice includes experienced occupational, physical, speech and language therapists who address a variety of sensory, motor, behavioral, social and academic issues in children from birth to adolescence. She has supervised and trained hundreds of therapists and graduate students from a variety of universities and colleges. Dynamic Kids partnered with NYU in graduate research in OT looking at the impact of sensory processing on attention, arousal, and organization in preschoolers. About Your Speaker
Susan Hamre, MA, CCC-SLP, is an ASHA certified speech-language pathologist with over 40 years of clinical, teaching and research experience with autism in the home, school, hospital and community settings. She owns and manages a private practice in Santa Fe, New Mexico that serves individuals from infancy to adulthood, with an emphasis on Early Intervention, autism, and various other challenging conditions. A clinician at heart, Susan has personally provided treatment for children as young as nine months, on up.
